The DOH Budget for this year increased by 30% from 32 Billion Pesos(2011) to 42 Billion Pesos (2012)

However, DOH Memorandum Order No 2012-0181 issued last June 25 ordered the immediate stop in the payment of hazard pay and augmentation for laundry and subsistence allowances due to “BUDGET SHORTAGES”

Hazard Pay is 25% of a health worker’s monthly salary (around P2,000-P8,000) and is mandated by the Magna Carta for Public Health Workers (RA 7305).

As Per DOH Memo 2012-0002:
Subsistence Allowance – P30 per working day
Laundry Allowance – P130 per month

All of these have been removed by DOH Memorandum Order No. 2012-0181.
